Darlaston Town (1874) Ladies are looking for a coach and a preseason fixture

Darlo Ladies preseason is planned and organised, starting 23 June, but they lack a closing game in their preseason schedule

Darlaston’s new ladies team have made a great impact since joining the club less than a week ago, they have certainly thrown themselves into club life, supporting not only the first team presentation evening, but also the youth presentation on Saturday night.

As they start to look towards their first season in blue and white, preseason training starts on Sunday 23 June at Willenhall Memorial Park, Pinson Rd, Willenhall WV13 2PW, The management team of David Ball, Scott McKee, and Darren Turner have been planning the season ahead and things appear to be well under way. The Birmingham County Woman’s Football League does not start until September, a month later than Andy Parkes side.

The ladies start their preseason friendlies on Sunday 28th July away at Nuneaton Town Ladies, they just require a single fixture to finish off their preseason programme on Sunday 25th August. They may also entertain some midweek fixtures depending on availability and the opposition. Sunday 28th July – Nuneaton Town Ladies (A)
Sunday 4th August – Stourbridge (A)
Sunday 11th August - Kidsgrove (A)
Sunday 18th August - Shifnal Town (H)
Thursday 22nd August - Wednesfield (A)
Sunday 25th August AVAILABLE (Home fixture sought)

The teams management team are looking to recruit a coach ideally with at least a FA Level 2 coaching qualification, The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills, and able to maintain discipline and have experience coaching adults and must be available for 2 hour training sessions on Wednesday evening along with matches being played on Sunday afternoons. The position is on a totally voluntary basis.
