Darlaston's squad cannot wait for Saturday to come after a weekend off.

After a football free Saturday, Manager Parkes and his squad are looking forward to returning to action at The Paycare Ground this Saturday when they welcome Newport Town for a 2 pm kick off.

The return to League action sees three home games in four weeks. After next Saturdays game, Darlaston travel the short distance to take on near neighbours Willenhall Town kick off 3 pm, who last night beat Old Wulfrunians in the quarter final of the League Cup on penalties after he scores were level at 1-1 after extra time.

Manager Parkes and his squad then return to the Paycare Ground to play against Team Dudley, Old Wulfrunians and Telford Juniors.

The last fixture in February sees a trip to current second place Worcester Raiders, who closed the gap to two points after last weekends 3-0 win at Newport Town.

"After the 1-0 loss at Atherstone last mid week the short break will have done wonders for the lads" said Scott Moore last night. "A lot of football has been played since the season started, and with such a small squad, knocks and injuries were starting to build up, hence why we gave everyone a complete rest until we trained last night. The lad are in fine spirt at the moment, and are looking forward to this weekends game".

So why not get yourself down to the ground on Saturday, the bar will be open, food will be available, so come and have your lunch before the match, and enjoy a good afternoons football, when we welcome last seasons Division One runners up, for what promises to be an incident packed goal laden game if it is anything like previous encounters.

Gates will open at 12.15 ready of a 2 pm kick off.
